I’m getting a degree in massage therapy. I might work at a spa, or do some work on the side. I’m curious how many times people are getting asked for a happy ending, how to avoid it and what type of environment I should try to work in so I can be sure I don’t get harrassed.

Anyone into aromatherapy massage or someone whose taken such a massage?

Hi. I would like someone who is either a practicing aromatherapist or someone whose taken an aromatherapy massage (full body) to give me some tips.
At the place I live, I don’t have aromatherapists. I don’t have anybody who’ll do it for me. So I am planning to go for a self-massage. I’ve figured out the composition of my massage oil too.
This is what I want to know:
1) After massaging the entire body with the essential oil blend (in the carrier oil), how long should I let the oils stay on my body before I take a bath?
2) For testing if an essential oil is suitable for my skin, do I put a drop of the pure oil on my skin to see if it irritates or should I mix it in a few drops of base oil and put it on my skin to test?
3) Is there anything that can go wrong by giving a self-massage? Anything in particular that you would want me to make sure?
Your help is appreciated in advance. Thanks a lot.

Hi, I will be moving to California in October from the UK where I currently practice massage therapy and am CIDESCO qualified. I was wondering if I will need to to take the NCBTMB ( National Certification for Theraputic Massage and Bodywork) exam or any other exam to be able to practice in California as I know it is required in some American states.
